Dog Daycare Edmonton: FAQ

What vaccinations are required?

All dogs must be up to date on Rabies, DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza), and Bordetella (kennel cough). Proof of vaccination from a licensed veterinarian must be provided before your dog's first visit and kept current. We recommend flea/tick prevention as well, though it is not mandatory.

Every new dog completes a free temperament assessment on their first visit. This helps us understand your dog's personality, energy level, and social style so we can place them in the right play group. Most dogs pass with flying colours — it's more about finding the right fit than a pass/fail test.

We welcome dogs aged 4 months and older. Dogs are grouped by size and play style — small (under 25 lbs), medium (25–60 lbs), and large (60+ lbs).

Dogs 7 months and older must be spayed or neutered to attend daycare. Intact dogs can display dominant or unpredictable behaviours that may disrupt play groups. Puppies under 7 months are welcome regardless of neuter status.

Dogs enjoy a structured day of supervised indoor and outdoor play, rest time, enrichment activities, and plenty of social interaction. The schedule typically looks like: mid morning play and group enrichment activities → afternoon nap → one on one enrichment activities → afternoon play.
